The True Cost of AI

Please join Georgia Interfaith Power and Light for their event, The True Cost of AI. Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the way we work, communicate, learn, and make decisions—but what exactly is AI, and how should people of faith respond to it?

Join theologians from Candler School of Theology and Pitts Theology Library, and practitioners from GIPL on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Kendeda Building at Georgia Tech, Room 230 for an evening of learning, reflection, and conversation as we explore the basics of artificial intelligence, how these technologies work, and the ethical questions they raise.

Specifically, we will explore AI's growing environmental footprint — particularly the rise of energy-intensive data centers in Georgia — and discuss practical ways our communities can advocate for a future where technology serves both people and Sacred Earth. Register for free below!
